But I bet the irs still has their Obama era fully automatic rifles.
I recently got a threatening letter from IRS about not submitting my 2020 return. I sent the scum back copies of the the return receipt for the timely submitted return and cashed check. It is a filthy preserved Union bureaucracy.
My 2020 refund, and their 2020 “audit lettrr” and its reply are all “vanished” into limbo.
What about my two year old unprocessed refund of $1,600 having to do with a retroactive ruling against a tax later found not legal?
Irs was sending extensions for themselves every 60 days then just quit.
We have no sense or guts for putting up with this crap.
I have clients getting over $50,000 for their child tax credits and stimulus money while paying nothing in. They have twelve children.
Actually, the IRS loves it when a taxpayer files bankruptcy. It closes their case, and the now bankrupt taxpayer is much more limited than before. The only creditor the IRS has to compete with in bankruptcy is the Trustee and the bankrupt’s lawyer. The IRS even gets special redemption rights against priority creditors (like first mortgage holders). Plus, the collection statute of limitations is suspended for the duration of the bankruptcy PLUS six months.
“The Tax Court dismissed based on lack of jurisdiction. Next, the tax payer appealed to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit–which affirmed the Tax Court’s jurisdictional argument. “
In other words we have two lawless corrupt courts working for the dark side.
I hate the irs.
I received a letter from them recently saying I owed more than two thousand dollars for 2021.That didn’t make sense because the accountant that does my taxes every year said I was getting a refund of about two thousand dollars. A close look at the letter revealed they had only accounted for two estimated tax payments I made and I had made four, which is why I am getting a refund. I have copies of each check and voucher I sent in for 2021. If I don’t pay it by the beginning of May all hell is going to break loose. My accountant is going to contact them.
The IRS will definitely screw up. I’ve caught them a few times. People shouldn’t tremble in fear if they get the dreaded “letter.” They should just get out their returns and double check what the IRS is claiming. In my case, they were wrong every time.
Was that Octomom with the 12 kids
The IRS must prove you didn’t receive the letter. You don’t have to prove you didn’t. (It worked for jury duty).
Not always. I didn’t contact the IRS until after a second letter. Asked for clarification regarding the statutory requirement under my situation to file a tax return.
I have not heard back from the IRS. It’s been 19 years.
There have been a lot of unusual things happening with the postal service since covid, e.g., 6 days to deliver a priority envelope in the same city; 21 days to send a letter from Boston to Roanoke.
A possible solution is to call the IRS agent handling your case and ask them to cite the statute requiring you to file a tax return. Not the IRS code, but the the actual statute on which the code is based. The IRS Code on not the law; the statute is the law. For most people who work in exchange for money, that statute doesn’t exist. If you can find it, you would be entitles to about a $300,00 award. Many have tried; no one has been successful, including a number of IRS employees.
My computer will never load msn.com for some [very likely good] reason.
I no longer send checks over the higher end of 3 figures through the mail.
Very useful info! Thanks!
So... You use the Pony Express, instead?
Regards,
Electronic transfers along with personal delivery.

Amish... we sent the checks back to the IRS as they don’t accept government handouts.
