The word “Disney” is nowhere to be found in the bill.
The swamp and citrus around Orlando were better than the over-crowded, three-ring circus now run by pedophiles.
Los Angeles and southern California would have remained beautiful and livable but for all the development there. I lived in the area in 1960. Nobody can argue the last 60 years have been good for southern California.
I wonder how the public will take to the idea that Disney has been avoiding paying taxes for so long? I wonder how they will take to the idea that Disney is not subject to the same health and safety rules as any other business? I wonder how the public will react to find out that Disney owned all the Florida politicians since the 1960s?
If Disney can find a court to rule that they are entitled to permanent 'above the law' status they will still have the downside of everyone actually knowing that they talk about social responsibility while buying politicians to avoid paying taxes or adhering to local laws.
They can try, but it would be useless. The agreement remains in effect until it expires next June (2023). They just don’t get a renewal now!
Take well on the way to being out a f fashion to be “woke”. When China crashes, and I believe it will, Blackrock will have a whole new attitude.
All special districts were eliminated, not just Disney. Most special districts before 1969 are now subject to approval by voters (the legislature). It wasn’t just Reedy Creek, but it is the it one...

I went to disneyworld once. Got heatsick. Never went back.
Disney world is being renamed NAMBLAWorld..
He won’t veto it...
Disney’s new character was introduced today Molestor Mole... He is in a rainbow flag t-shirt, no pants with a young nude mole... 🤓
The pings are wonderful - no apology needed.
Walt was looking at Hillsborough County before settling for Orlando.
If Disney world closes it, Busch Gardens would buy it. Or 6 Flags or CedarFair or Kennywood...
Disney came into the Orlando area under a lie.
Disney saw companies move into the area around Disneyland in California - and make money off their park. They didn’t want to repeat that mistake.
So when Disney came to the Orlando area they decided to buy enough land so no one could move next door and make a profit off Disney World.
That necessitated buying large and small tracks of land and without alerting anyone. They did it by putting out the word a large ‘gas plant’ was going to be put in that area. Not only were they able to buy land - but they got it cheap as people didn’t want their property next to a gas plant.
AP says Disney is a major political player in Florida. It is? What other laws have they lobbied against?
