Children who persistently question the sex they were designated at birth are often referred to specialty clinics providing gender-confirming care. Such care typically begins with a psychological evaluation to determine whether the children have “gender dysphoria,″ or distress caused when gender identity doesn’t match a person’s assigned sex.
HORMONES
After puberty blockers, kids can either go through puberty while still identifying as the opposite sex or begin treatment to make their bodies more closely match their gender identity.
SURGERY
Gender-altering surgery in teens is less common than hormone treatment, but many centers hesitate to give exact numbers.
OUTCOMES
Studies have found some children and teens resort to self-mutilation to try to change their anatomy. And research has shown that transgender youth and adults are prone to stress, depression and suicidal behavior when forced to live as the sex they were assigned at birth.
Many studies show the treatment can improve kids’ well-being, including reducing depression and suicidal behavior. The most robust kind of study — a trial in which some distressed kids would be given treatment and others not — cannot be done ethically. Longer term studies on treatment outcomes are underway.

Certainly the internet is not helping the situation. It seems there is a home for all kinds of madness on the internet.

Lie by omission. Research has show that “transgender” people suffer the same mental issues, regardless of whether they undergo these medical procedures or not. In fact, studies have shown that for those who do undergo these procedures, the
outcomes (such as suicide rates, substance abuse, etc) are worse than for those who don’t.
Yes, all that, and don’t forget love them. They are crying out for attention and support, so give them what their heart needs, whether their mouth and brain are willing to ask for it or not.

That might work for some. I know of a young man who was just fine being a young man until he went away to college, and became friends with some in a transgender group. He really liked those kids and was depressed from being away from family for the first time. Somehow, he ended up declaring that he wants to transition to being a female after hanging out with this group for a year. So they can get their hooks into them even as vulnerable college kids, who are looking to fit in when not around their family and old friends anymore. One 45 minute “session” was all that was needed by doctors who had never met him or known him to let him start on cross hormone drugs. His parents are devastated. They are under no illusions that this will “fix” anything, but they are hoping to have their son not commit suicide for just a few more years. It’s awful.
These procedures just catch some that the libs failed to eliminate by abortion. Since they can’t kill kids after birth they have to settle for deforming their bodies and wrecking their minds.
That would be the sane thing to do.
