My dentist’s office receptionist asks me “Do you want a mask?” when I walk in without one. I reply “No, thanks.” Then she gets nasty, says “You have to wear one in here” and hands me one.

I changed dentists, and brought my wife and children with me. For a few months I spent a fair amount of time using the trial and error approach, and have permanently changed shopping patterns as a result.

The dentist was a hard one. I got lucky finding a doctor. Optician wasn't very hard.

My old dentist retired about 18 months ago and this outfit bought his practice. They are competent. It isn’t easy switching. All the medical offices here in Santa Clara County are nuts with the county “health orders” and I’d probably have to drive 150 miles to find one that isn’t nuts. 20 seconds of masking is a small price to pay no matter how stupid it is.
