I’ve lived in Florida all my life, I’ll give you seasons argument especially if you don’t hot humid summers, but alligators are not really an issue, I’ve always we have an agreement with alligators, you stay away from them, they will stay away from you.
But what if that grinning gator is in your pool?!
When I grew up in Florida, we used to be able to go swimming or water skiing in lakes without fear of alligators. Moccasins, yes, alligators, no. Ok, there were a handful of lakes that had alligators, but you didn’t go skiing in those lakes. You could even go rafting or tubing down the rivers. Can’t do that anymore.
I’ve only had one alligator in my yard, but it was big!
