No but Nixon would be putting in price controls in response to inflation.

I wonder if he was in office now, if he would want to reverse his trade policies with China?

Richard Nixon was brought down because, as a rabid anti-Communist, he was loathed by the left who were hell-bent on getting even for Alger Hiss, among other things.

The left, then as now, included 95% of the media (and, at that time, there was no conservative media to speak of.)

That he routed the far left’s Golden Boy in 1972 was enough to seal his doom, IMHO.

(One could draw a parallel with PDJT in that regard.)

RMN wasn’t a great president, but he was a decent and credible one with some notable accomplishments, and he certainly didn’t deserve what happened to him.
