5 years is not a weekend. It should take no more than 1 year, 2 if they are completely refitting. My dad was in charge of Planning and Estimating, and QC with the nuclear fleet. I guess his class of military/civilian workers have passed with the time. The Kitty Hawk, Constellation, and the Big E never sat for 5 years in drydock.
