The Russians could use low-yield weapons to blow holes through Ukrainian defenses in the Donbas and drive lightly-armored personnel carriers right through. That's what those were built for, not to be sitting targets for Javelins.
The war Russia trained to fight was a land war against NATO, not a civil war in Ukraine and these small tactical nuclear weapons are part of that doctrine.

31 minutes ago, I received info that the 2nd phase of the war has started. Russia is bombing cities of Eastern Ukraine.
Heavy large caliber bombing reported at Kharkiv & Mykolaiv, as well as most Ukrainian positions in Luhansk & Donetsk.
Clearly, Russia tonight has started the new stage of the war - with one front only, focused on Eastern Ukraine. We will overcome evil.
Russia wants to occupy and destroy before Easter, very symbolic. But, light always overcomes the darkness, always.
Pray for Ukraine, Pray for Ukrainian army. Orthodox Easter in 2022 is on Sunday, April 24.
