I for one can handle having more than one enemy. Putin is doing nothing useful to help our cause of anti-globalism, in fact he is making globalism more popular. The real problem is not who to support, but how to survive in this dark time where various forms of evil run the world around us.

But to the extent that our attitude towards Ukraine even matters, we should support the principle of national self-determination which is being grossly violated by Putin’s actions. If the people of Ukraine want a liberal NWO style democracy, that’s their problem, not ours. I don’t think they are actually as far down the rabbit hole as our countries, in fact there was an interesting story on the local news about a gay Ukrainian couple who had fled to Poland and then on to Canada, where they were quite amazed to find the tolerance of their point of view, not the case back home (yet anyway). I am ambivalent about this, civil union would be fine, the sacrament of marriage should be reserved for men and women on Biblical grounds, but if the state is to be the arbiter of marriage then civil union is basically marriage anyway. It’s not my way, but I would not go blasting through foreign cities with a half-drunk army to prove that point. Maybe God supports Vlad Putin more than we think, but I see him as the embodiment of the “beast” principle given some power because of our own shortcomings, then removed from the scene (as in “goes to perdition”) and the sooner the better.

Our side I would see as the whore of Babylon and something with which we should make no compromises. So we are between a rock and a hard place in these perilous times. More to the point, so are millions of people in or now from Ukraine. Whatever Zelensky is or is not, those people are more or less innocent victims.

You post gets a +++++ rating. I can hold a few thoughts in my mind at the same time. I am very pro-Ukrainian |||||| Still for Trump |||| and never Cov.xyz vaxxed |||| Trump was-is the second coming of Pat Buchanan and Ross Perot ... I campaigned for both in 1992. My FReeper credentials are in order.

I was also against our stupid bombing of Serbia. So was Ariel Sharon, pres of Israel. I posted this at FR back then, 23 years ago. I am Jewish and half Ukrainian via my mother. So Slava Ukraini! And I just ordered a Ukraine flag for my front yard.
