Our radical, leftie neighbor put a Ukrainian flag up last week, actually she asked another neighbor to install it. That afternoon cars started rolling into the court, she was having an “indivisible” party. Soon they came out of her house and they all had Ukrainian flags draped around their bodies, facing her flag and attempting to sing what we think was the Ukrainian anthem.
Our other neighbor who is a retired thirty-five year marine, machine gunner, is furious, saying in the years she has lived there not once has she ever had an American flag.
Ain’t always that simple. For years Ukrainian adoption was very active in the Louisville Conservative Christian community. There is a great deal of honest love for the Ukrainians on that basis. And Putin isn’t exactly warm and cuddly.
I wonder what your radical, leftie neighbor would think about a Soviet flag.
