“The Monroe Doctrine was a United States foreign policy position that opposed European colonialism in the Western Hemisphere. It held that any intervention in the political affairs of the Americas by foreign powers was a potentially hostile act against the U.S.”
The doctrine also promised that American would not get involved in European affairs as long as they didn’t try to colonize the Western Henisphere. Obviously that’s not the case anymore.
So why does America get to decide who can and can’t come into “our hemisphere,” especially if the country’s sovereignty and safety is possibly encroached upon....and Russia isn’t afforded that same right?
Yes.
Also, I love this.
