There have been mass purges over the howlin type coven stuff, and the elections always get purges. It is very interesting that the site is sitting back on this current civil war. I think it’s because of the current awareness that banning everyone for wrongthink could be bad.
There is no official position by management. So it's a free for call for the time being.
Re: 123 - You really need to provide some context.
From my perspective, some FReepers got time outs or banned around elections because after a Republican nominee is determined, there were some FReepers who were either saying either to not vote for the nominee or a few said to vote for the Dem to teach the GOP a lesson. Some of this latter craziness is again on the increase.
You should be thankful I’m not an Admin Moderator, as FReepers advocating voting for a Dem in a general election to punish the GOP would first get the post pulled and then get a time out.
