Are you opposed to selectively screening diabetics for specific conditions that they are more likely to have than the general population? There are many preexisting conditions that call for special or enhanced screening. This is not the hill to die on.
The argument wasn’t against screening. It was about prioritizing some illnesses over others. For instance, a stable AIDS patient could theoretically cut the line in front of a stage IV lung cancer patient for screening.
THAT is the problem.
