Is this the Jewish space laser MTG was talking about?

Wonder what the cycle time is (charge up time for the next target). And the dwell time on the target? And can it target and shoot down multiple targets within a reasonable amount of time.

Can it take down a hypersonic weapon? Lots of questions concerning this topic.

Definitely. Seems like a lot of potential issues with laser weapons.
But in comparison with projectile weapons, it seems like it might be limited. A laser is probably line of sight.
Advantages — time to target is almost instantaneous. You don’t have to wait for a projectile to hit its target which might be seconds or minutes. But “the projectile” is probably “fire and forget” so maybe that is not an issue.

That might be where a laser weapon has potential.

Forget the border wall. We should deploy Israeli lasers. They are carbon neutral, sustainable, and gluten free.

Yes and they mean business!
We joke about this but I see weaponizing animals under our remote control.

Did Joe Biden weaponized Major Biden?

So have those running the WH started an investigation in Israel yet, to make sure they didn’t use US money? After all, how fair is it that Israel has a new defense system when the Palestinians still have to count on cheap rockets from Russia?

In the long run, low cost is one incentive. Lighter weight is another (no magazine or ammo storage). Earlier, more crude systems were very heavy because of power required.
