Since the prime motivation of Putin to invade Ukraine was to shut down their impending natural gas exploration so that Ukraine natural gas wouldn’t compete with Russian natural gas in European markets, I would expect that Iranian oil will not extinguish the fire in Ukraine, but add fuel to the fire.
Putin does not like competition.
At the rate that the oil price is increasing, Iran and other oil exporting countries are making a lot more money by leaving their oil in the ground than by pumping and selling it.
Every $10 dollar increase in the oil price increases the value of Iran’s oil reserves by about $1.6 trillion.
