Now it all makes sense!

They were mad (even a Twitter employee was suing Musk, I bet they didn’t come up with that idea all on their own) that he bought his shares without them knowing about it. They were worried about a move like this (by someone, maybe even Trump) ahead of time!

So Musk moves in, but couldn’t grab enough of it quickly enough to fly under the radar.

Now, silicon valley calls in a favor with it’s banker overlords for help, sorta like a wiseguy needing to go to the don when the territory war gets out of control.
