Losing a flagship certainly CHANGES the course of the war.

The Ukranians may be down now, but by no means out. The Russians and Vladimir Putin are getting the tar whacked out of them, and there will very definitely be a complete reordering of their order of battle.

Definitely not the all-wise and all-knowing supermen they have been made out to be.

I though Little Pukin was playing 10th dimensional chess while Zelensky was playing checkers...

Here’s the thing:

Everyone’s acting like Russia and Ukraine are equally committed. As if Ukraine losing 300 out of 1300 in-service tanks (if they lost anywhere NEAR that) leaves them in worse position that Russia losing 500 out of 3,500 in-service tanks*. But it doesn’t. Russia is on an expedition; Ukraine is defending the homeland. Russia can’t use its entire army. It committed to 1,200 tanks because that’s what it thought it could spare. Ukraine has nothing to lose.

(* Russia probably has 13,000 tanks total, but God knows what condition they’re in. Ukraine probably also has a proportional number of out-of-service tanks.)
