Sorry, make that 80 nautical miles.

“NEW: US defence official says Russian warships have moved away from Ukraine’s southern coast after explosion on the Moskva. They’re now 80 nautical miles or more from the shore.

Possible sign they’re trying to get out of missile range.”

I think the Moskva was providing air defense for the other ships and was itself standing well off the coast..

80 nautical miles = 92.06 miles (statute). Almost
100 miles off shore. I think the Russian Navy is
moving to get out of missile range or they are planning
some sort of really drastic military action.
Nukes maybe? Nah, they're not that crazy -- are they?
