Yeah, it was being towed when it sank after a munitions fire! Yeah, that’s the ticket!
No matter the cause, it isn’t good for the Russkies.
Well, losing one ship doesn’t typically end a war.
Vaya con dios, muchacho.

It had a compliment of almost 500.
That’s gonna leave a mark. Somewhere.
It went down in a storm of Neptune missiles, and now rests in Davey Jones’s locker. If the Ukies keep sinking ships, Russia’s naval advantage along the coasts diminishes.
I was just watching a live Pentagon press conference and they said nothing about the ship sinking.
Russian cruiser sunk by storm! /propaganda mode
“Reportedly 54 Russian were rescued. Rest went down with the ship”
That was last nights report. If the thing was still afloat today and was in the process of being towed it’s beyond me how 350 went down with the ship as there was plenty of time to get them off and a Russian vessel towing the ship that could have provided rescue. OF course many could have been killed with the initial explosion. Fog of war.
How big was the crew? Surely they had inflatable life boats and life jackets.
The Pentagon says she’s underway to home port under her own power.
“Russian Navy cruiser Moskva sank while being towed in a storm- Russian Ministry of Defence quoted as saying”
Russian Navy new Submarine class Moskva completed is Maiden voyage and is now resting in place - Russian Ministry of Defence quoted as saying
So after looking at Twitter I decided to go over to the Tass website. Nothing about the Moskva on the main page but doing a search for Moskva yielded this:

So I guess she’s well and truly gone.
Wow.
These were not the flowers Putin eas expecting.
Pretty incredible that Ukraine pulled this off.
I hope Ukraine wins this war, but I don’t think anyone who has been on a ship of war takes pleasure in the thought of men being swallowed by the sea.
The Ukes claim that they fired two anti-ship missiles at the Moskva. The Russkies claim it was a fire from the detonation of ammunition. Both put the Russkies in a bad light.
The Moskva had a crew of 500, with only 54 reportedly rescued.
Where are all the Putinas who were telling us it wasn’t badly damaged?
