When Malik Sanchez was sentenced on Wednesday for claiming he had a bomb and telling two women outside a New York City restaurant that he was going to kill them, he apologized to the women and said that his actions were those of an “immature and reckless child.” Manhattan federal court Judge Colleen McMahon stopped him right there and corrected him, saying his action was “that of a sicko.” Nevertheless, she gave him no jail time at all while praising his post-arrest behavior and calling him a “pretrial success story.” Scaring people half to death is no big deal in New York City; in the decaying Leftist paradise of Bill de Blasio and Eric Adams, it takes a great deal to be sent to prison.
Sanchez faced up to five years in prison, but McMahon sentenced him to time served: he spent 23 days in jail after he was arrested and nine months confined to home. It was an extraordinarily light sentence for Sanchez, who ran a modestly popular (he had 5,400 subscribers) YouTube channel called “Smooth Sanchez” that has been dormant since his arrest. I watched hours of this little creep’s videos last year when he was first arrested, trying to find his bombing threat, but he had apparently already taken it down. He terrorized people not just in the instance in which he got arrested; his whole act was to walk around Manhattan and harass random strangers. He even assaulted one man, but apparently his victim didn’t wish to press charges. Whatever else he may be, Malik Sanchez is certainly a sociopath and possibly a dangerous one.
The “Smooth Sanchez” videos feature Malik Sanchez walking along the streets of New York City and yelling abuse at passersby, mostly young women. (He identified himself as an “incel.”) In a February 2021 video, Sanchez approached the outdoor seating area of a Manhattan restaurant where the two women were dining and said he was going to “enhance their meal.” Then he began shouting, “Bomb detonation in two, in two minutes.” He screamed, “I take you with me and I kill all you. I kill all you right now. And I kill all you for Allah. F**k, f**k that s**t. I’m gonna Allah. I’m gonna do it. I’m gonna f***ing do it for Allah. I’m gonna do it, for, Allah, Allah, Allahu akbar, Come on. I do it, bomb now, bomb now.”
This moving peroration led six people to flee from the enclosed outdoor dining area, which the Cary-Grant-like, self-proclaimed Smooth young man took as a victory. “Yo, all of them scattered. … Holy s**t. Holy s**t, boys. That was f***ing five stars. That was five stars. Holy s**t, huh?”
According to the Daily Beast, in another video on March 20, 2021, Sanchez was seen “making hand gestures ‘mimicking pointing a gun.'” A court filing stated, “After multiple individuals attempted to get Sanchez to stop, Sanchez sprayed pepper spray in the face of one of those individuals. Sanchez was arrested by responding NYPD officers and charged with state offenses and was thereafter released on bail.”
Not only that, but once Sanchez had been arrested, police discovered that he had previously pepper-sprayed another woman when she took exception to his videoing her.
One of the women who was at the restaurant when Sanchez came up and started screaming about Allah and his bomb recounted, “For the next several weeks, I lived with my parents in Pennsylvania, too afraid to return to life in the city. I was convinced that a terrorist was operating in my neighborhood, ready to actually use violence at any given time. Mr. Sanchez altered my faith in humanity and made me realize there are truly bad people out there who enjoy seeing others suffer.”
Yes, there are, and Malik Sanchez is certainly one of them. But that’s no big deal in today’s entirely Leftist-ruled New York City, where coming down too hard on a young man who screamed “Allahu akbar” while making a hoax bomb threat might have appeared to be “Islamophobic.” Now, Sanchez hopes to join the military and he will likely have no trouble getting in, as no one in Gen. Mark Milley’s woke armed forces will care that he once faced charges for pretending to be an enemy of the United States. Loyalty? Dependability? Pah! No one cares about such things anymore. If Malik Sanchez can master the intricacies of Critical Race Theory, he’ll be a prized recruit.
“Bang.”
So remember boys and girls, if you apologize after making terroristic threats you will get no jail time - if you are a member of an approved minority.

He’s lucky the no-gun NY lady didn’t stick a fork through his eye or conk him with a weighted purse. Some of them would.
If he doesn't make it in the military, at least he knows he can make death threats and pepper spray people with zero consequences.

This sounds hilarious. I hope he takes this show on the road. He wouldn’t -believe- the reception he would get in Florida, west Texas, or New Mexico.
Meanwhile the Jan 6th invitees....solitary/prison.
Maybe he can host the Oscars next year.
That would have been a far better outcome. If he was stabbed to death by a patron, that would have prevented a woke judicial system from giving him another chance to scare or kill people.
Or worse, lucky he's in NYC. Threatening a bomb explosion in 2 minutes and spraying restaurant patrons, that's a serious threat. In most of the country.

Bad Things Must Happen!:
Don’t be surprised when bad things happen in New York, or in any other corrupt, big-government town or state. Bad things need to happen.
On Tuesday morning in Brooklyn’s 36th Street subway station, a 63-year-old black man popped a smoke bomb in a subway car and started shooting passengers. At the latest count, 29 people were injured, 10 were shot, five were in serious condition, but no one has died.
There was apparently little warning that this man posed a threat to society—other than a series of “bizarre threatening rants on YouTube” in which he said that he should have gotten a gun and “just started shooting motherf—ers.” Oh, and the FBI had the man on a watchlist, but removed him in 2019. Other than that, no clues.
The would-be murderer used a Glock (illegal in New York City) with extended “high-capacity” magazines (illegal in New York City). And no doubt we’re about to hear about how we need even stricter gun laws because gun laws work great but there never seem to be enough of them. (Gun laws, indeed, are just like government as a whole—which only fails at everything it does because we don’t have enough of it . . .)
It’s an odd coincidence that, just this past weekend, a friend asked me seriously if I would be bringing a pistol for protection on my forthcoming trip to New York. I told him I didn’t think it would be necessary. In reality, it may be necessary, and I certainly wish I had one, but I can’t take the risk. My chances of being caught in a subway shooting are (for the time being) infinitesimal. My chances of being mugged are real, but so would be my chances of having my life ruined if the police caught me with an illegal gun: I’m sure they’d announce me to the press as a white-supremecist whose terrorist attack they’d foiled. It is simply a case of fearing the government more than armed criminals.
Or, to put it another way, I fear New York’s organized crime more than I do New York’s disorganized crime. That’s why I moved out of the city a few years ago.
Unfortunately, the government’s desires and ours are misaligned yet again: You might think politicians want a reputation for safe streets. But that assumes politicians get elected by the people, which is not the case in our modern-day Tammany Hall-style system. This is why, despite our having had the least popular politician in the whole country in Mayor Bill de Blasio, there was no chance whatsoever that a Republican would defeat his successor for mayor.
The more fundamental problem is that government today isn’t run by politicians—elected or otherwise—it’s run by officials. That’s why it was so easy to predict that Eric Adams’ government would be essentially identical to de Blasio’s.
The problem with government officials (as “Yes Minister” explained so elegantly 40 years ago) is that they measure success by the size of their departments, the amount of money they have to spend, and the amount of power they wield.
Seen this way, two of the greatest tools for government success are crime and failure. Let’s face it: A safe and happy society has barely any need for government. Safe streets don’t create demand for a higher police budget, any more than good schools create demand for higher education budgets. A success in the eyes of the public might result in cutbacks, but there’s always a ready explanation for failure: “We didn’t have enough resources.”
“Resources” means your money and your freedom—these are what the government burns to keep warm.
So don’t be surprised when bad things happen in New York, or in any other corrupt, big-government town or state. Bad things need to happen. This isn’t to say the government goes around deliberately stirring up trouble (though there’s plenty of evidence that they do). Just don’t expect them to be good at their jobs. If they were, they wouldn’t have their jobs in the first place.

Anyone thinking that NYC is even a shade of what it was only a decade ago are the same types who think the DNC party is the same as Roosevelt2’s — asleep.
He deserved all 5 of those years.
This judge should be impeached. When Convention of states happens we should have a method to remove federal judges.
Right now an appointment is permanent, even when they do stuff that makes them undeserving.
I am not saying make it easy, or else liberals would be replacing all of them every election cycle.
I am amazed youtubers that perform stunts like this are not given a beat-down.
When he really does pull something off it will be because he has a history of mental illness.
And the fib will say they “can’t find a motive” and tell people,we must not “rush to judgement”
