Amy Wax, a law professor at the University of Pennsylvania, said Black people harbored "resentment" over Western achievements in a viral interview with Fox Nation host Tucker Carlson.
The controversial lecturer said on Tucker Carlson Today on Friday: "I think there is just a tremendous amount of resentment and shame of non-Western peoples against Western peoples for Western peoples' outsized achievements and contributions. I mean, it's really unbearable.
"Leaving aside American Blacks, who I think do feel that resentment and shame and envy. I mean it is this unholy brew of sentiments."
In 2019, a Pew Research Center study found that 69 percent of Black people said it helped a lot to be white in America in order to get ahead. An estimated 73 percent of Asian people also agreed with the sentiment, and 56 percent of white people asked also agreed their ethnicity gave them an advantage over others in America.
Since being uploaded on Sunday by Media Matters Associate Research Director Nikki McCann Ramirez, the clip has been viewed more than 1 million times on Twitter.
During the interview Wax also hit out at Asian and South Asian doctors who criticized America, and perceptions of racism within the health care industry.
Carlson and Wax then discussed how Asian Americans placed the highest in terms of household income in the country.
Data from the U.S. Census Bureau in 2020 showed Asian Americans had a median household income of $94,903 compared to $74,912 among white people. Hispanic and Black Americans had lower median household incomes of $55,321 and $45,870, respectively.

Who else finds it as annoying as scratching a chalkboard when leftist academes capitalize “Black” but not “white?” I first noticed this in a college textbook back in the mid ‘90s. I never honor black supremacy, even in my use of capitilization!
I would only quibble a bit, in that many Third Worlders are taught to think this way, rather then it being an inate characteristic. Then again, the left clearly is saying the opposite, that America should be dominated by minorities.
Racism is a powerful force. Whites have had it beaten out of them. Minorities are having it encouraged.
Who cares?
Are White Men Gods? (II): Getting the Facts Straight

There was an old early 70’s/early 80s show called Connections. James Burke that did them is still alive.
He had a point that the eastern religions were more or less based about the idea that ‘it is what it is’ and changing that is bad. Europeans had the more advanced ‘if it is, we can do it’ approach and took over the world.
Amy Wax is spot on: the people pushing this “diversity and inclusion” garbage got where they were by the greatness of our American system. The ones that benefit most, coming from their blank countries, are the ones trying to destroy the very system that helped them succeed.
It has been culturally tamped down, but it cannot be entirely beaten out of a person any more than the urge to stay safe and alive can be eliminated.
That said, it can be ameliorated by folks when folks who are different demonstrate that they are friendly (i.e., safe). That takes effort.
The Left is destroying the "friendliness" between the various races.
Newborn babies will attract to whiter people than darker. It’s inherent in the species. It might not be ‘right’, but it carries on for all people and all races
I am not sure where she’s coming from but I might believe resentment exists because it was taught. The hyper victimization has done incalculable damage to black Americans. It seems like from every corner of their lives they hear messages about victimhood and institutional disparities they cannot fight against. There is purpose in this. Isolation, control, exploitation. Tokenism and fetishizing blacks are a psychological horror for that community. Generational dependence, destroyed family units… these oppress. And yet we see the same votes and failed results. It’s difficult to see a positive end game because so many profit off their backs. They are told good faith messages of inclusion in the larger American family is a racist attack. They are suspicious of one another and victimize each other through tolerance of scams, corruption and violence. Positive values like work ethic, timeliness, delayed gratification are racist instruments of white culture. And those who escape are attacked for escaping, are mocked as race traitors, conspirators and sell outs. It’s corrosive.
However, one thing I *will* accept is the observation that human beings...*all* human beings...are hard wired to prefer being with "their own kind". I see that as being a big factor in how relatively successful humans have been in surviving and,to a degree at least, prospering and advancing since the dawn of civilization.
Very early newborn studies will show it. However by 6 weeks or so they prefer their own color for sure.
And who is begging them to stay?
One thing to keep in mind is that this racial envy is not limited to blacks. It is exhibited by many from diverse walks of life. It was sometime around the 9-11 attacks that I first heard the comment “they hate us because they ain’t us”.
There are at least three and maybe more terms of ‘white <?>’ that are used interchangeably but are really very different and should not be conflated. These are: 1) white racism, 2) white superiority, and 3) white exceptionalism. One and two are related in that every person on this planet at some level believes that they are superior to the person next to
them. It is number three that cannot be denied.
‘White exceptionalism’ is the primary reason for our society today. From the light bulb (invented by Edison and improved by a black guy) to the cell phones used by muslims to destroy that which they cannot conceive of and cannot build. Almost everything the world uses on a daily basis was invented by a ‘white guy’. There are probably a few exceptions but I cannot think of any at this moment.
“They hate us because they ain’t us”. Truer words are rarely spoken.
Loved that show.
I also liked a lot of Cosmos, except when Sagan got too overly political. The science stuff was good, but the neo-communist atheism was harsh. I appreciated it on his 90’s commentary that he said technology is ‘almost as if there were a God, do with it good or bad’ (summary). I think towards the end he might’ve wizened up, but hard to tell.
That was an awesome column.
