That underlines the major problem with sexual deviancy -- being proud of the sin. If homosexuality was just any other sin you're tempted to do, and even do sometimes, but struggle to end it as you try to live a holier life and be more like Jesus, then homosexuality would be no different from other sins.
It's being committed to the sin and even defining yourself by the sin that makes it probably the closest thing we have in the U.S. that's like the mark of the beast (which I always believed is listed as being put on the forehead and wrist to symbolize one's creed like Moses' teaching of writing God's laws on yours and your family's foreheads and wrists).
One needn’t even think of it as a sin.
Why be proud of sexuality? Never mind proud of defects?
I was never “proud” of being hetero. Not ashamed, either. It just IS.
