Abbott sucks.
No but it makes us feel better in Texas!
Machine guns, claymores, and grenades!
It wasn’t intended to secure the border. Nothing will until the rats are sent packing, or at least fighting for their lives when all the aliens hit their streets!
While I realize fully that the Constition is a dead letter in this former Republic, while we are still pretending that it is operative, we should avail ourselves of at least the forms of it. Every border state should take the following Constitutional provisions to heart and start implementing them. Specifically, Sue FedGov for ignoring its duty under the clause in Art. 1,§8, and Art.4 §4.
While that is winding it's way though the courts, they should call forth their militia and repel the invaders crossing from Mexico under Art. 1 § 10. Bring out the troops, tanks, and implements of war and stop the invasion now. Kill a few hundreds of invaders, and it will stop immediately. If not, keep doing so until it does.
Article 1, Section 8: "The Congress shall have power...
To provide for calling forth the militia to execute the laws of the union, suppress insurrections and repel invasions;
Article 1, Section 10:
No state shall, without the consent of Congress, lay any duty of tonnage, keep troops, or ships of war in time of peace, enter into any agreement or compact with another state, or with a foreign power, or engage in war, unless actually invaded, or in such imminent danger as will not admit of delay.
Article 4, Section 4:
The United States shall guarantee to every state in this union a republican form of government, and shall protect each of them against invasion; and on application of the legislature, or of the executive (when the legislature cannot be convened) against domestic violence.
