Someone out there is feeding the Ukrainians very good intelligence to know exactly where to find and target these Russian officers.
—
It the Russians themselves that are feeding the info. The Russians use cell phones to talk - not hard to intercept and locate. The UA has special teams that do this sort of locating.
Yeah. They're not that bright. We've made jokes about the Poles for years. Maybe we should stop with that. And make jokes about the Russians from now on.
Mil Sat tech in the 60s could count the hairs on soviet generals heads and read over their shoulders. Those images are from a commercial Sat which is very good also.
So no not BS.
Only the intellectually lazy or willfully blind

As well as the Russians and their supporters on this site.
. Its not like the movies, you cant read license plates or see facial features,

Actually, mil sats have had that capability for 60 years.
Its really not so much a question of ‘brightness’, but of the utter or near uselessness of their military radios. They have little choice these days.
They used to have excellent comms back in the Cold War days, but, with the Fall, everything in their military fell apart.
And now I know you are ignorant of what you speak.
Colonels on up in the Russian army run the battles. In the U.S. Army, the NCO (E6-8) run the battle.
Top down vs distributed command. Kill the brass and the units fall apart.
Apparently the Ukrainians are using their sniper teams well.

Humm ... all those NSA stat images I looked at back when must have been forgeries?
its physics that determine what you can distinguish from optics given a distance. I’m not going to be sucked into the details of that. The theoretical pixel size can be calculated with the proper math. That math is not classified. Your making such a statement in an open forum about a capability you may or may not have observed while working for an agency is, and I won’t have that conversation with you or anyone else here.
I’m not sure what your motive for jumping in the conversation was. If it was dispute my license plate statement, fine. If it was to dispute my claim that commercial satellites can see bodies on the ground, you kind of proved my point.
i guess they aren’t bullet proof...
They lead from the front, like the US military used to do.
They lead from the front because they have to. Russia still has no professional NCO cadre. True for the Red Army apparently still true today.
You have no idea of Sat imaging capabilities with all your math etc. You are just wrong.
+1
I’m very correct and you are clearly not as much the expert as you claim, but It’s really unimportant to my original post. Are you saying the satellite photos of dead people are real or not?
It's been 30 years though. Guess they stole everything from the budget that is meant for comms.
In all likelihood, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense is simply aggregating Battle Damage Assessments ("BDA's") as reported by combat units. Those "body counts" tend to inflate, to some degree, actual casualties caused.
I can only vouch for what they had 52 years ago.
I saying troll, that when I was at NSA 50 years ago we had images of Russian generals and read the text they were reading, after we counted the hairs on their heads. Now go away.
