There’s suffering in many countries as I write this comment. Should we open the coffers to all of them too? FFS, get a grip!
I believe racism drives a lot of this. If Ukraine was populated by papuans, the media and hence the general populace wouldn’t care less
You imply I want us to police the world and right every wrong. Others keep talking about a nuclear war, or that we want a war with Russia.
I have no interest in any of that.
Ukraine involves a real threat to American interests.
It’s a strategically located country with vast resources. If it falls to Russia, Putin will be better positioned and encouraged to undermine and eventually attack Poland and then Germany. Europe is essential to our economy and our security.
And the Chinese are watching Biden’s weakness. If he let’s Russia grab Ukraine, China will be emboldened to grab Taiwan, which is incredibly strategic in Asia.
This is about American security. Yes I care about the Ukrainians, but I want us to help them because our interests are at stake.
