But we can certainly drop a FOIA request with DHS demanding information on the “cellphone/tablet/laptop for illegals” program. Then we can report the details and determine how carefully the department is “monitoring” the “irregular immigrants” in their “alternative to detention” arrangements. And we’ll be glad to sue for the information in federal court, if necessary.”
Those are all great ideas, but you’d have to have a press corps that actually cared about this issue. They don’t. Of course, that would change in a heartbeat if Trump or another Republican was POTUS. 🤬
