Right now the US is maxxed out on how much nat gas they can process into LNG for export.
Not sure if anybody is building additional facilities or not.
"U.S. LNG exports have much more destination flexibility than exports from Qatar and Australia, making America the best source of immediate replacement supply for Europe. Even so, American volumes won’t suffice if Europe loses access to Russian pipeline supply. “There isn’t enough seaborne gas available to replace Russian volumes,” wrote Morgan."
You don't need to double coal output for that. A couple of good Havana cigars will do that!
Goldman Sachs produced a chart showing how the USA's existing LNG export terminals are already at full capacity. New ones will need to be built - as will pipelines from the fields to the export terminals. That's a multi-year project. And yes - political approvals will be needed.
I made my comment because my son and I make a living by designing LNG Facilities, worldwide and we see the extreme benefits for the USA and ourselves.
Interesting. Do you agree then - is USA LNG export now at max capacity? Is more capacity in construction phase, or even planning?
