President Joe Biden found himself relegated to the sidelines on Tuesday as his Democratic predecessor Barack Obama stole the limelight during his first visit to the White House in five years.

I agree. I also see no reason to make him go away. The people running the government are fine with him the way he is. Mostly fine, anyway. I'm sure it's a pain to keep him roughly in line and cover for his statements, but he not impeding advancement of the agenda.

Any exit for health or mental fitness reasons is going to have some degree of embarrassment, but being forced out would create a cast of tough guys kicking an unwilling Biden out - internecine battle they do not want.

I don’t think so. The 22nd Amendment only precludes a former president who has been ELECTED twice to that office from being ELECTED a third time. Making Obama the Veep only requires a majority of the House and Senate, and once that approval is made and he is sworn in as Veep he can ascend to the presidency if Harris is removed or resigns.

Somebody on patriots.win posted a link to Tucker's segment on the video. Biden looked like a lost puppy making his way around the room, trying to get someone to pet him. Where the hell was Jill? I don't think she attended the event. I didn't see her in any of the videos I looked at. Had she been there, she wouldn't have let him wander around aimlessly like that. Must be nobody was assigned to keep their eye on dementia Joe at the event today.

They probably deliberately kept Dr. Jill away so Joe wouldn't have any handlers. Wouldn't surprise me if it was Obama's idea.

Can’t look it up right now, but I think there’s a clause in there preventing anyone from serving as VP who is not otherwise qualified to serve as POTUS. I’m sure they’ll find a way, though. They’d cheerfully wipe their a@@es on the Constitution if parchment weren’t so rough.

Scary but true. Amendment XXII only speaks of getting elected to the office of the President more than twice. Doesn't say anything about "serving" more than twice.

I agree. Although they would like to remove him from office, they can't do it just yet. Having Kamala take over the presidency does not help Democrats at all. My theory is they'll prop up Joe for another year, at which time he'll announce that he's decided against running for a second term to "spend more time with his family." The DNC will then find a candidate to run in the presidential primary against Kamala, and work behind the scenes to ensure that person gets the nomination. This will allow them to get rid of Kamala without facing a backlash from their base for forcibly removing the first woman of color from the VP's office.
