Republicans on Tuesday blocked the Senate from advancing a $10 billion deal on coronavirus aid amid a stalemated fight over whether to attach a Trump-era immigration policy to the agreement.

Absent a breakthrough, the stalemate would delay the coronavirus bill until after a two-week break that is expected to start by Friday. To pass the deal before that, they would need buy-in from all 100 senators.

Senators voted 47-52 to advance legislation that’s being used as a vehicle for the coronavirus agreement, falling short of the 60 votes needed to move forward.

Nothing should pass until the border is closed to illegal aliens.

Well, seeing both parties want to play politics and not come to a decent deal, you can expect the border to continue to be wide open for the future. As much as I like you idea, unfortunately it will not happen.

They just passed an Omnibus bill, a Ukrainian aid package, and before that a previous COVID bill and the fake infrastructure bill. If they were drunken sailors, they’d be dead of alcohol poisoning.

Wanna bet some of that so- called COVID aid money will be going to pay for the Bills’ new stadium.

I don’t think it’s a coinkydink that NYS still doesn’t have a budget yet.

Note to the other 49: Do you really wanna pay for the Bills boondoggle? For Upstate major metros to hire starving artists? To shovel people’s sidewalks for them?

For Pete’s sake, look at what NYS has done with the money you sent.
