3. people who own chainsaws have chainsaw accidents far more often that those who don’t own chainsaws ...

4. people who own automobiles have far more auto accidents that those who don’t own automobiles ...

5. people who own table saws have far more table saw accidents that those who don’t own table saws...

6. people who own private airplanes have far more airplane accidents than those who don’t own private airplanes

The study has several shortcomings. For example, the researchers said they could not determine which victims were killed by the handgun owners or with the in-home weapons. They couldn’t account for illegal guns and looked only at handguns, not rifles or other firearms.
