"The researchers calculated that for every 100,000 people in that situation, 12 will be shot to death by someone else over five years. In comparison, eight out of 100,000 who live in gun-free homes will be killed that way over the same time span."
I found that part especially weird.

I’d love to know what “research” they did to come to that insane conclusion.

The study has several shortcomings. For example, the researchers said they could not determine which victims were killed by the handgun owners or with the in-home weapons. They couldn’t account for illegal guns and looked only at handguns, not rifles or other firearms.

Gun-grabbers have been peddling this BS 'latest study shows' narrative for decades. It was a lie then; it's a lie now.
Same sh!t, different decade.

I use modeling code in my work. My old boss was unhappy with some of the numbers, but they were right. It got to the point in the argument where I asked her “what numbers do you want to see? I can make it happen.”

Now we finally know why Hunter’s girlfriend, aka the widow of his brother, ditched his .38 in a trash can of a convenience store parking lot across from the a high school.
She just didn’t feel safe. Good thing they had the USSS to come in and clean up that little pile of Hunter dung before it went public.
