...because "gun control" has been so successful to date at preventing violence. I mean, just look at CA with some of the most restrictive "gun control" laws in the Nation... Oh, wait... That's where this incident took place. How about Chicago, also very restrictive "gun control" laws... Oh, wait, they have violence every single day. ;-/

Gee, a thoughtful, rational person just might conclude that "gun control" does not work, does not prevent or even reduce violence.

I would further contend that "gun control" which has the net effect of disarming law abiding citizens, actually increases violence and crime. It lowers one of the thresholds for criminal behavior. With strict "gun control" in place, criminals know that their potential victims are less likely to be armed. With that much less to fear, criminal behaviors are more likely.
