Oddly enough, until she was betrayed by the Dutch, Anne Frank’s existence was fairly humdrum. She lived in hiding with her family for 4 years after the beginning of WWII.

Whereas the Russian invasion of Ukraine is barely a month old, and the young Ukrainian girl who wrote this diary has had her family sniped and bombed by Russians, and not only lost her mother and stepfather - she’s also had to live with their rotting bodies in the house.
