[hive of Ukrainian nazism]

Azov was funded by a Jew. It is manned by at least dozens of Jews. I’d be skeptical of any claims of serious anti-Semitism, let alone Nazism:

[Despite accusations that the group is antisemitic, some members of the Jewish community in Ukraine support and serve in the Azov Battalion. A 2018 BBC report gave the example of one of its most prominent members, co-founder Nathan Khazin, a leader of the “Jewish hundreds” during the 2013 Euromaidan protests in Kyiv.[105] Jewish-Ukrainian billionaire Igor Kolomoyskyi was the main source of Azov’s funding before it was incorporated into the National Guard. [106][107]

In a 2018 interview, Andriy Biletsky explained that he regards Israel and Japan as role models for the development of Ukraine.[108]]

Nazi and fascist are just Russian terms of abuse for people they’d like to kill. Americans were routinely referred to as fascists during the Cold War. Since using the term too broadly would dilute its polemical effect, the Russians are now using it laser-like on Ukraine.

Exactly. Russians used the “Nazi” accusation against the activists of Prague Spring in ‘68 and the Hungarian Revolt 12 years prior. In that regard, the Russians are little different than the left in this country, which pushes that same “he’s Hitler” narrative against anyone who resists their agenda.
