I'm thinking the American people were better informed on World War II in 1942 - way before TV and the Internet.

It's shameful that in the so-called information age that we are all so ill-informed by our useless lapdog media.

Newspapers, radio and news reels of 1942 were superior to what we have today.

Far less pontification on the part of the press then too. But there was some government oversight of the press as well.
