Moscow accused Ukrainian forces of blowing up a huge oil depot in Russia on Friday in an airstrike — an attack that Ukraine denied carrying out.
Russia had warned that the attack could hamper peace talks between the nations, which were due to continue Friday by video. But Ukraine officials scoffed they had nothing to do with the bombing.
“For some reason, they say that we did it, but according to our information, this does not correspond to reality,” Ukrainian Security Council Secretary Oleksiy Danilov said on national TV.

Well there were videos of black attack helicopters.
Hmmm
Ukraine ping
Russian lightning? Money changed hands but supplies did not, at last in the specs and quantities ordered. What better way to clean up the books than for the inventory to go up in smoke? Convenient to have inventory that self-ignites with alacrity, given a little nudge.
Black helicopters? I thought those were the Feds.
They must have gone rogue.
I can’t see Joe ordering them to do it.
It is war started by putin does he think that Russia is exempt from attack?
Ukes almost certainly did this.
Then they realized that this attack actually strengthen the Russian case for full demilitarization of Ukraine.
Alternatively, this was a local initiative of some Uke commander who did not think of the implications.
There are also copter mysteries with the attempted escape from Mariupol yesterday.
Two shot down, two uke survivors — but one of the claims there were four copters! And again Kiev refuses to take credit for getting two through the blockade... so just where are they?
Those helicopters were attempting to get the AZUL leadership out of Mariupol as I understand it. We’re any of them successful?
Hold my vodka moment? Nato taking a hand, illegally? (as if illegal means anything over there)
This is nonsensical. Russia invade Ukraine is trying take over or level the country. Ukraine has every right to attack Russian territory.
And again Kiev refuses to take credit for getting two through the blockade... so just where are they?
Its called operational security.
I am totally convinced Ukraine did this. The oil depot was a legitimate target that fueled the Russian war effort.
The Russians target civilians and military targets. The Ukranians target military targets.
Any questions “Norse Viking”
Payback.
That’s is the mystery. No trace of the other helicopters — per captured survivor there were two more transports and an armored model, leading the pack.
(If any of them succeeded, it would make sense for Kiev to brag about this!).

The other mystery is the contradiction between two stories from the Russian side:
the official line is that the copters were allowed in to take them down after they were loaded.
the initial unofficial story was that one of the copters was downed with a trophy Stinger -— yes, they do have a supply of those, but this would hint on DNR doing the job and perhaps on downing being an accident.
Donno.. I’m curious.
If you do not like my theory, offer yours.
I fail to see any other reason why Ukes deny themselves a credit for what is a very rare success for them!
I doubt he thinks that. That said Ukraine said it wasn’t them, so who done it?
There is video of the attack somewhere on here. Can’t tell who was flying them but they were Russian-made Mi’s
Knowing the characters involved - Murphy.
I just watched it. You cannot tell. Ukraine is denying they did it.
Maybe they are denying it because they are worried about a revenge attack.
Russian crews may have thought they were hitting a Ukrainian target.
