What’s crazy is for a time in the 1990’s Russia was offered membership in NATO. The chance for lasting peace was there. Damn shame it didn’t happen.
It would have been sweet to see Russian ships making port of call in the US and being welcomed as friends.
I still think a Chinese play for Siberia will happen before a move on Taiwan. China’s ego is wrapped up in Taiwan but their future is in Siberia.
It’s quite possible to have multiple enemies at the same time. Our worst enemy is the filthy regime in DC, but Russia and China are not far behind (especially the latter, as it has its hook deep into the American elite).
You do realize that since 2014, Ukraine right wing Nazis murdered 14000 Russians and wounded 50,000 others with continuous random artillery shelling on civilian populations in Donbas?
You do realizing the Ukrainians are shooting and torturing Russian POWs that have surrendered?
You do realize OUR government is mostly responsible for all this? Our Deep state and corrupt politicians, George Soros and all those surrounding Obama? Biden, McCain, Linda, Pelosi, Romney, so many others?

It’s not as though the West were the ones determined to keep this animosity going all this time.

Because it is, judging by its propaganda machine, which is just as wretchedly disgusting, if not worse due to its better planning, than that of our Democrats. Russia is still aligned with Iran, Syria, Hezbollah, Nicaragua’s Sandinistas (yes, they are back), FARC, Cuba’s communist dictatorship, Venezuela’s communist dictatorship, you name it; it has not distanced itself from any of them. And, it just invaded a harmless country that would never do the same to Russia.
No real opposition leader is going to win the election in Russia...It is exactly what Nancy Pelosi wants our government to be.
