Don’t be so quick with assumption. Just saying, missile is like 6.5m long, the picture is mid-body guidance fins and explosive load has a 200m fragmentation range. This part could easily be tossed quite a ways.
My guess, impact (if real) was at least 75m from this part. Agree, part doesn’t “look” like it was near a high explosive, but structurally a missile is a series of tubes bolted together and they separate like this. In other words this “could” be real. It would be interesting to see impact crater to verify.
Well, I will tell you any part of a missile thrown that far from the burst point will impact pavement/bushes/whatever else and there would be *some* evidence of that.
I’m not seeing any. Not even skid marks.
And, going back and looking at the photo posted, the marks on the pavement look to me to be drag marks. As in positioning the missile body part for the best angle to take pictures of with an urban scene in the background.
