I disagree.

I totally think that McCarthy should continue in all his roles as speaker.

However, all the ceremonial roles should go to Trump.

Every freaking republican in the country wants to see Trump sitting behind Biden during Biden’s state of the union address.

There’s one other thing.

The speaker is third in line behind the veep if there is trouble in the white house.

who the heck knows if biden can survive the next three years.

"who the heck knows if biden can survive the next three years."

I don't think he can. Both of my parents died from aging dementia. That necessitated moving them to a care facility. The owner of the facility said that the average stay was three years, ending in death. This was true for both of them. They were completely incapable of any cognitive task for most of the time there. Biden is about at the point they were when they went in. Biden's true state is being covered up by drugs and around the clock support.

disagree about McCarthy. He’s not trustworthy according to many online. Would much rather see an America First politician take the speaker role. After yesterday Matt Gaetz even seems appealing.

The speaker is third in line behind the veep if there is trouble in the white house.

The Speaker of the House would ascend to the Presidency only if both the President and Vice-President were to become unable to serve before the ascended V.P. had nominated a new V.P. and that new V.P. had been confirmed by the House and Senate - so-called DOUBLE VACANCY.

Thus, according to 25A, if Biden becomes incapacitated, Harris succeeds him and nominates a new V.P. (who must be confirmed by the House and Senate), and Trump's position as Speaker of the House would be untouched.

Regards,

“It would tie him down to one place having to be at congress most of the time negotiating with all those parasites. “

~~~
And he would be a great negotiator, which is actually an argument for why he should do it, but you are right, it ties him down, and it doesn’t fit his strengths as a planner, a meeter, and a doer. Way too much procedure and ceremony, not enough of sinking teeth into meat.
McCarthy is worthless like every Republican Speaker has been since Newt Gingrich left Congress.
I agree with you that it wouldn't be a sound move but I'd pay a lot of money to see that. A LOT of money.
