I disagree. There are white folks who honestly believe they should be held accountable for what was done by their ancestors.
By the way, most of those that feel this white guilt, are simply racists. They believe they are superior, and have been taught to loathe themselves for not taking better care of minorities.
So-called white guilt is actually a deep self-centeredness. It’s a mixture of “oh woe is me, I descend from ______ who did dastardly things way back in time,” and “look at how virtuous I am for acknowledging my long-dead dastardly antecedents.” It’s a phony form of self-flagellation that enables one to grab a piece of the racial grievance industry pie.
