Speaking during a rally in Georgia on Saturday, former President Donald Trump suggested that his supporters would boycott the state's midterm election if incumbent Governor Brian Kemp wins the Republican Party's primary race.
At the event, the former president supported several GOP primary candidates, including gubernatorial Republican candidate David Perdue, who is challenging Kemp. Trump has repeatedly criticized the governor after he refused to cave to pressure to investigate the results of the 2020 presidential election in Georgia.
"David Perdue, who is a wonderful man, and incredible family, and who really got screwed by Kemp, is the only candidate in this race who can beat Stacey 'the hoax' Abrams this November. And you know the reason for that is because Trump voters— MAGA—Trump voters will not go out and vote for Kemp," Trump said at the rally. "If Brian Kemp is renominated, he will go down in flames at the ballot box."

True enough - it only would have taken a miniscule number of voters to have listened to that and followed what he said to have flipped the races.
You mean the vote where Republicans will likely help to install the first black woman as a SC Justice?
Turn Georgia over to Stacy Abrams if Kemp is the nominee? No way. Trump is holding a grudge that could do all sorts of damage. A few facts:
— Purdue was nothing to brag about in the Senate.
— Purdue lost his Senate race. He was in the Senate due to Kemp, who beat Stacy for governor.
— While Kemp should have come out stronger against fraud, his overall policy record has been good — opposing needless COVID restrictions, signing an anti-voting fraud bill hated by Democrats, and delivering on gun tights.
I don't doubt that. But if the Republicans controlled the Senate, I think that's a factor that Biden would have to consider when making his decision.
If Kemp stays in he will go down in flames and The GOP will move one step closer to being replaced as a national party. They are not representing their voters.
Agreed. There are too many down-ticket candidates to boycott any election ever. He should push for a write-in instead.
Perhaps send Perdue money? Send his stealth PAC money? Organize for him? Put out a yard sign? Steal Abrams signs? LOL.
How about, run another "Stacey Abrams" as 3rd-party? Or just run Stacey Evans as 3rd-party -- she took a 23% bite out of Aunt Jemima's fat azz in the 2018 primary!
“Does it matter? Ask again in about 2-3 weeks when Biden gets his first Supreme Court nominee confirmed”
Thanks to Kemp and Raffenspergef and all the other Rinos.
Your fear tactics aren’t going to work anymore.
Fear tactics? LOL!
GA voters voted for who they wanted. The cause and effect speak for themselves.
Herschel Walker sent a fancy request for funds. My funds were sent out yesterday.
Sorry, the "conservatives" at FR have spoken!
I see that as a dumb move that will just throw the results in favor of the Dims. Much like what happened in the 2020 Georgia races.
“GA voters voted for who they wanted.”
You’ve made your allegiance clear.
I believe you have, correct? Don't vote for a Republican that one believes is a RINO?
I hope that works out the way you believe it will.
I mean, what damage could Abrams do if elected?
Not much, correct?
I guess we need another John Roberts.
You guys have cried wold too many times.
No. No, no, no.
This is pure stupidity.
How about doing like we did in VA.. flood the landscape with watchers, especially in the metro areas? We swamped the Richmond and Fairfax-Loudon-Arlington area with friendly attorneys who were ready at the switch to challenge and document everything.
Some of you in GA want to just take your ball and stomp your way home, but know this.. you do NOT want Stacey Abrams as your next governor. Don’t fall for that bullshit line that there’s no difference; you know damned well there is.
John Roberts is quite a bit different from Stacy Abrams.
You guys have cried wold too many times.
Whose "you guys"? As long as people know what they are doing - the whole cause and effect thing - go for it!
Again, there are a group of conservatives that want to "purify" the Republican party.
I hope that works out the way people believe it will.
You guys are supporters of Rinos, GOPe.
“What that tells me is you’d rather have Abrams than Kemp...”
Yes.
So if you don’t want Abrams, oppose Kemp.
