So far Ive not read anything in the foreign press complimenting Biden.

Reagan had to fight his “professionals” at least 3x, who kept taking that line out of the speech and he kept putting it back in.
In Peggy Noonan’s book “What I saw at the Revolution” (speech writer for Reagan) she said that every speech had to be reviewed by each cabinet group so it kept to the policies. She made it sound like anything Reagan said would be taken as policy.
His “tear down this wall” sentence was deleted numerous times (they would look over each revision, and Reagan would add that part in again) by the State Department and others. He penciled it in again on the limo ride to the Brandenburg gate.
