You mean the war the politicians wouldn't let us win?
We could have won it very quickly if allowed.
“Most people are exposed to an average of around 0.62 rads (sic), or 620 Gray each year.”
Should be .0062 Gray. Math Much?
—
I was going to say.
620 Grey would be a massive dose.
6 Grey would kill you.
As I recall, in the USA, the "nuclear winter" hoax was originated and spread by our own resident idiot, Carl Sagan.
And he was kinda sorta, but not really right.
He assumed that all of the missiles and bombs would be set to be ground bursts.
That would throw a huge amount of particles into the atmosphere and cause a nuclear winter.
In reality, very few of the warheads were ever set for ground burst, those to take out silos and seal underground command centers.
Most would be air bursts, creating little, if any fallout, but incinerating everything within a certain radius, and killing with gamma rays.
Oh yes, and the higher up the greater radius of the EMP.
... worse than our military in Vietnam where the viet-cong kicked our azz good and Americans escaped in helicopters from rooftops.
The Viet Cong were wiped-out in the ‘68 Tet Offensive.
We had that war won around 1970, and the North Vietnamese were planning to pursue a truce until Jane Fonda, John Kerry and the rest of their ilk talked them into continuing until they could build the anti-war movement here in the US.
That’s by their own admission.
If we had kept our commitments to South Vietnam to provide weapons, South Vietnam would probably still be a free and prosperous country, like South Korea; thank the Congressional Dems for that betayal. The blood of millions is on their hands.
right? i’d like to know where the brass dogtags we had went too...
It’s part of the Nuclear Winter theory - I thought it was disproved years ago. So your background is nuclear warfare Toad? Interesting. What’s your best guess?
I haven’t heard much regarding CERN going to 100% power this week, but I remember 23Mar22, had to have been the most intense sunset, i.e. powerful glare in the afternoon haze in SoCA, I’ve ever felt in the last 40 yrs.

Got some real experts on here.
This seminar was done, I believe after the movie “The Day After” was shown. Enjoyable. It effected Ronald Reagan terribly.
I watched it and at that time, we had a mental state that no matter how it went down we would survive it.
Now in that seminar, one of the last comments was made that even in a small nuclear exchange it would cause global catastrophe. The guy mentioned 5000 mega tone? Cant remember now, but 5000 mega tons if a limited small exchange? I dont think so.
Medical radiation, like you have had, is a different animal I would suppose.
So Ronald Reagan was an idiot for encouraging this right?
Maybe your to young to understand what he understood.
Get off the thread.
You’re correct, but Sagan was actually partnered with Russian scientists who were pushing the propaganda. I still don’t know if Sagan was an unwitting accomplice, or knew that he was pushing disinformation.
Ronald Reagan was not an idiot for pushing SDI—it was an amazing success, and was also a propaganda effort, as we later learned.
You have no right to tell me to get off a thread, unless you’re the moderator. With your horrible attitude and atrocious English, I’m glad you’re not…
So Ronald Reagan was a propagandist.
Oh your a real dandy.
Get off the thread.
After the Tonga eruption he emailed me and asked if I had seen that. At the time I had not but went and took a look.
Come to reality, that blast is estimated to have gone higher than Toba did. How they know that I do not know but it really went up there. They still are discussing how much SO2 was pumped up into the air.
This was one of the ways they determined the effects of a nuclear exchange. Now some of the “experts” on here are claiming a air burst wont release the fallout like a ground burst, which is true. But, things will be burned and in that smoke there will be guess what. Do you smell the smoke where you are from when there is a massive forest fire? In even an air burst over cities, the fire fighting capabilities will be severely damaged. So Forest Fires-for example, will be the last things to be worked on. The smoke works it way across the globe, so does the radioactive material. Remember this, the last years fires had smoke plumes even in the Antarctic.
“Wash your hands after touching the cat or handling its litter box.”
We definitely do that!
So, you found a video on the Internet. How cute.
You’re just this side of stupid that makes you gullible.
“My fingers would start to tingle if I spent too much time around him.”
How long did that go on after the procedure?
After watching Chernobyl mini series and On The Beach, if a bomb does come our way I would rather it be a direct hit on my house with me in it.
Not to mention all the toxic crap all those fires and whirlwinds will whip up into the atmo.
So yea, it’ll be a we’re pretty effed, event.
