Last I heard, 75% of the world is water, which we know how to desalinate. Would be cheaper to build thousands of them and green the deserts to create new economies, more food, lower “global temperatures “ and bring peace.
The Israelis desalinate and irrigate innovatively. At a kibbutz, I was advised that they provide potable water for a Syrian refugee camp in Jordan. Ironic! I also was told they are exporters of water.
