Because during the 60+ years of leftists' war against America, throughout the radical Left's 60+ year history of capturing, defiling and destroying one cultural and governmental institution after another, leftists quickly realized that there would be no one stopping them. Given those realities, why would they stop? A winning strategy is a winning strategy - no need to change it until or unless it becomes ineffective.
In a sane, virtuous society stealing the presidential election would have been the last straw. But it wasn't. Because of that the leftist scum got the message: Do whatever you want with impunity. And to top it off be sure to rub the "opposition's" nose in shit, day after day, year after year - because it helps to demoralize that opposition and you can do that without negative consequences.
