Frag, as in short for fragmentation grenade. They can't do a ballistics test on a hand grenade.

A retired military colleague of mine made a good point. Russia has shot some of their own military jets out of the air early in this campaign because they don't all have the technology and training to differentiate friend or foe and both sides are flying some of the similar aircraft.

I was in The Nam two tours never heard of it nor seen it done, only heard about it when I got back to the states...
Now I did see a few guys that got it in the back..
