The most disheartening thing of all is the millions of people who have succumbed to the propaganda of the evil "woke" Left--who have allowed themselves to follow their evil preachings like blind, mindless sheep.
The same people would have been supporting Hitler and the Nazis--or laughing at the excesses and madness of Caligula, Tiberius, Nero, Commodus, and Elagabalus--laughing at torture for public amusement in the colosseum--working as guards in the Nazi concentration camps, self-righteous in their mindless acquiescence to the evil propaganda they have accepted.
They are people who have no internal moral compass to guide them--who depend upon the prevailing groupthink for moral guidance--and their number is legion!
That's what's truly frightening.
That's what tempers any optimism with cynicism.
Yeah, you’re right. Mister Hansen seems to miss the possible ... nay, PROBABLE....’failure of civility’, in which traditional rights are trampled, oppression is widespread, and government is out of control both psychologically and physically.
The first time a nuke goes off in Ukraine, or the first time Chem weapons are either false-flagged or genuinely deployed, look for all nations to reject the honoring of personal liberties on a scale unseen for decades.
We saw how they basically placed entire nations on ‘House Arrest’, simply for Covid. Imagine the reaction to WMDs, wherever they are used, globally.
Again, you and I seem to be cut from the same cloth, as I share your fear.
What has been most “enlightening” to me is the realization that very few people have that internal moral compass, instead following the crown, the fads of the day.
This has completely taken me by surprise. What we all were shocked by back when FR began is now commonplace, and worse. While this is nothing new in history, it is a new experience for us, who innocently thought it “could never happen here”.
Well, gues what, it is happening here, and now we are living through “interesting times. What terrible lessons we are learning about human nature and this sorry world.
“Group Think”, seems the T.V. is it’s source.
