Here’s what I learned about the medium Harvest Right freeze dryer in the last few weeks:

Replace the cheap drain valve with a good brass one. The water that drains is acidic and rusts/ corrodes the cheap valve.

We had a vacuum leak and narrowed it to the epoxy plug. Put silicone around it and that solved the leak. According to HR tech, that plug tends to shrink after many cycles.

Eggs we haven’t tried yet - too busy running meat, potatoes, veggies & fruit.

We haven’t had any problems with ours (yet), thankyou for the heads up though, I’ll keep my eyes peeled.
