Hearing several reports - Russian and DPR tanks have been removing people out of Mariupol and saw videos of such -they have given Azov fighters until tonight 23rd to surrender - They are holed up in various places in the city and it sounds like the 24th Russia Dpr are going after them and they said they will not be taking any hostages.
I suspect we’ll see some heavy bombing again in Mariupol the 24th - the final push it sounds like. ....we’ll know soon enough.
There is a reason the western press doesn’t higlight Azov military units as nazis. To do so would see less people inclined to break out the hankies for Ukraine. It is serves the ‘unblemished victimology’ rhetoric. Can you imagine for a moment that Germany integrated a paramilitary group into the Bundeswehr that sported swastikas and other Nazi party regalia and routinely attacked people of French descent. And then in turn Germany was invaded by France. It would be strange if the media failed to note the nazi personnel in the Bundeswehr and their nefarious deeds and bring it to the court of public opinion. Support for Germany being pure as the driven snow would decrease if it was highlighted. And many would be, (to use an an american expression) would start ‘rooting’ for France.
