That goes a long way to explain the problem with presidential politics. 2/3rds of voters are voting AGAINST 1 candidate or the other. That means the elected candidate can immediately find his support base is down around 40%. Tough to claim a mandate these days.
I voted 100 percent for Trump both times. He’s the only candidate I can say that for. I wasn’t old enough to vote for Reagan.
