They have had nights going down to zero Fahrenheit in Northern Ukraine, since the invasion began, and many were in tents North of there for weeks prior.

It’s now apparent Russia’s CCC is thoroughly compromised.
NATO knows every word, every plan.
And they share it directly with Ukraine.
Agree. Way too many Russian field grade and general officers dropping for it to be Ukrainian dumb luck. USAF aircraft and other assets are scooping every Russian fart up and passing on actionable intel to Kyiv.

Share this with Zelenskyy and Biden so they will stop making dangerous references to a prospect of a World War Three.

Stop with the BS - it’s been sub-freezing there at night.

I’m thinking more like trench foot. No idea how good their military foot gear is, but that could be it.
There are photos of Russian troops using looted Ukrainian military boots. Supposedly they prefer them to their own.

Ukraine is a big country. It’s much colder near Kharkov than along the Black Sea coast. It was very cold there early last week (0F-5F at night) but much warmer this week.

The Russians are an expeditionary force. There is a huge difference between the home and away teams here. Some Ukrainians are actually commuting daily from home to the front lines around Kyiv now. It’s become something of a meme.

I guess we’ll find out in a few months after the propaganda dissipates. I just find it hard to believe that the Russian Army couldn’t deal with this.
Why? Russian tanks ran out of gas only a few miles over the border. Russian $10+ million anti aircraft missile systems were captured because cheap Chinese tires went flat. Russia has got it all wrong, basically. A total clown show of a military campaign that will be studied for generations.

You can put your indicator ANYWHERE you choose on the map, and it will tell you the weather there. I used Sebastopol simply because it was the first place I thought of.

There are many photos/videos of Pantsirs with shredded tires, getting towed by Ukrainian farmers, etc. Russian tanks abandoned and out of gas. Etc., etc. Call it all fake news if you want.

While on opposite sides of the political analysis, we can agree on that.
I believe it indisputable.

Amazing that two Russian commanders would be speaking so frankly over an unencrypted radio channel. It's almost as if they intended for their conversation to be heard by the other side...
What I'm more interested in is this line: "Basically, it’s a s***show here, I’ll put it that way,"
If it is truly an "intercepted phone call" then I would expect it to be in Russian, whereas that translation is chock full of American colloquialism. Even Brits wouldn't phrase things this way, but we're to believe that one Russian said to another Russian: "Basically it's a shit show" ? Is there a phrase in Russian that translates exactly to "shit show"? If not, why did the author of this BS use that translation instead of the actual translation?
The line reads like a millenial journalist's invented script.

Absolutely agree. Ukraine citizens are running for there lives. I hear a lot of citizens in Russia aren’t for this war. Will our sanctions effect them. Obviously not in the same way..
